We selected the Corning Basement Finishing System because of the materials and on the promise of a quick install. When it was all said and done the Corning system and Lux Renovations fulfilled all that was promised. Throughout the process, from sales, planning, and construction, the Lux team was professional, courteous, and responsive. Customer service was great as we changed the funding mechanism and they handled it in stride. They maintained communication with us regarding scheduling and most importantly when the work started it was completed within the promised timeframe. The installers were diligent, respectful, and hard working. They installed a TV mount for us, including reinforcing the wall for the hanging. Like all projects there were some unexpected issues but they were all handled well. We had special electrical needs which they easily accommodated. We had a great experience with Lux. Bottom line they were fast (~2 weeks to complete the job), worked us into the schedule quickly as well, were courteous, and we love the finished product. In more detail, we wanted to finish our basement to use as a gym and a den. Our top priorities were quality and speed. We have heard some horror stories from friends and coworkers of contracting jobs taking forever or the house being filled with dust from the dry walling. The reason we went with Lux is they use a basement finishing system, and they work on your project every business day until it’s done. The finishing system is high quality and comes with warranties. Our project manager Dan was prompt to answer all our questions and made sure things went smoothly with scheduling, permits, and inspections. After I had the ceiling painted over the staircase and decided it was too dark, they were completely understanding and repainted it without any problem whatsoever. What was once a frightening dark and dreary space is now bright, warm, and appealing. The exercise and gymnastic equipment, Legos sets, stuffed animals, and art projects which once cluttered various rooms is now happily housed in the basement which was previously wasted space. We also had a gas burning fireplace installed, along with a big screen tv, sectional sofa, and game table--a great space for kids and adults alike. Moreover, the walls make it incredibly easy to hang anything, especially youngsters' abundance of artwork. I definitely recommend the Owens Corning System for the basement.

Lux Renovations did what they said they would do and did it when they said they would do it. I was very pleased with the installation of the Owen Corning basement system to create a recreation room and bathroom in my home. The contractor that installed the walls and ceilings did an excellent job, and the coordination with other subcontractors went very well. The project manager stayed on top of everything and there were no delays while waiting for sub-contractors.
